This is an amazing opportunity for High School students in Suffolk County.
The American Legion Oratorical Contest is a challenge to High School students to improve their public speaking skills and develop a deeper appreciation for the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.
They are competing for prizes are at all levels; county, district and zone. First prize for the Department of New York is $6,000, and a trip to National with more prizes.
This opportunity is open to all High School students grades 9-12. They can enter each year through 12th grade.
